The little wave

Ondeto is a word from Esperanto and means in English "little wave (wavelet)", in German "kleine Welle". Here is a little story: Es war einmal eine kleine Welle. Tief in ihrem Innern war sie sehr unglücklich und klagte: "Ich fühle mich so schlecht. Die anderen Wellen sind so groß und so stark, während ich nur so klein und schwach bin. Das Leben ist ungerecht!" Zufällig kam eine große Welle vorbei. "Ich habe deine Worte gehört." sagte sie. "Dir geht es so, weil du noch nicht deine wahre Natur erkennst. Dir geht es schlecht, weil du denkst, dass du keine richtige Welle bist, aber das ist nicht wahr." "Was sagst du da?" fragte die kleine Welle. "Natürlich bin ich eine Welle" Schau, hier ist meine Krone und das hier ist mein Wellenschlag. Ich bin klein, aber ich bin eine Welle!" "Was du als "Welle" bezeichnest, ist nur deine Form. Du bist in Wahrheit Wasser. Wenn dir gelingt, zu verstehen, dass du nur eine zeitlang eine Welle bist, aber immer Wasser sein wirst, wirst du nicht mehr unglücklich sein." "Aber wenn ich Wasser bin, was bist dann du?" "Auch ich bin Wasser. Ich habe für eine kurze Zeit die Form einer Welle, die größer ist als du. Aber meinem Wesen nach bin ich Wasser. Once upon a time there was a little wave. In it's heart it was very sad and it sighed: "I feel so unhappy. The other waves are so big and strong, whereas I am only small and weak. Life is so unfair." By chance, a big wave was passing by. "I heard your words," it said. "You feel so unhappy because you haven't realised your true nature yet. You are sad because you think that you are not a real wave, but this is not true." "What do you mean?" asked the little wave. "Of course I am a wave. Look, here is my crest and here is my trough. I may be small but I am still a wave." "What you call a wave is only a shape. In reality, you are just water. Once you understand that you will only be a wave for a short while, but you will always be water, then you will not be unhappy anymore." "But if I am just water, then what are you?" "I also am water.
